About Us

Our Mission

The mission of Alpha-Eta Zeta is to foster an environment where a young man can grow personally as well as spiritually, during his college years and the rest of his life.

To reach our potential as Christian Gentlemen, each individual must attain a balance between spiritual, academic, and social endeavors within the balance of the brotherhood. Each member should also reflect daily upon the four responsibilities and the twelve Ideals of Lambda Chi Alpha. In doing this, we will convey a positive image to the Greek community, the University, and the Community as a whole.

Our Story

Our chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha was founded on September 15, 1917, at Oklahoma State University. The first Greek fraternity on campus, our chapter, Alpha-Eta Zeta, has been involved in campus events since our very founding. Our chapter initially grew in size and influence during the mid-20th century, actively participating in university events, leadership roles, and philanthropy. The chapter was also heavily involved in campus initiatives, fostering brotherhood and leadership while helping establish Lambda Chi Alpha’s presence in the region. Over the decades, Alpha-Eta Zeta has contributed significantly to local charitable efforts, with our members dedicating time to organizations like Feeding America, which is our national philanthropic effort. This focus on service has helped our chapter maintain strong ties within the OSU community and beyond, embodying the fraternity's values of loyalty, duty, and respect.

Four Roles

As associates and members of Lambda Chi Alpha, we are all called to live by four simple roles.

Faithful Steward

Individuals whose actions are guided by integrity, courage, and a commitment to doing what is right. To be a Leader of Character means that our choices reflect the values we hold dear, serving as a model for others both within our brotherhood and beyond. This calling challenges us to lead with humility, to stand firm in our principles, and to inspire those around us to live with purpose and honor.

Leader of Character

A role of profound responsibility and dedication. To be a Faithful Steward means committing ourselves fully to the values, ethics, and responsibilities that define our brotherhood. We are charged with protecting and advancing the ideals of loyalty, honor, respect, and integrity, knowing that our actions reflect not only upon ourselves but upon the legacy of Lambda Chi Alpha.

Servant Leader

One who leads by example, putting the needs of others above personal gain. To be a Servant Leader is to commit ourselves to a path of humility, selflessness, and genuine care for our brothers and our community. This calling challenges us to uplift others, to empower them, and to create an environment where everyone can grow and succeed.

Lifetime Brother

We committed to a bond that extends far beyond our years on campus. Being a Lifetime Brother means embracing a brotherhood that endures and is rooted in shared values, trust, and mutual support that will last a lifetime. This calling asks us to cherish and invest in our connections and remain engaged and present even as our paths diverge.
